Taurus SHO Information
I've been lucky enough to get one of the first and one of the last of these great automobiles. Ford continues to manufacture the SHO, but due to a new engine, a new body style, and lack of a manual transmission, the "third generation" SHO (starting in the 1996 model year) is a totally different automobile - a nice automobile, but not the same as the earlier models.
To help combat what I thought was a lack of sharing of knowledge on these cars, I started the SHOtimes internet mailing list (read about it in the SHOtimes FAQ below) in 1992. Today that list has over 700 Taurus SHO enthusiasts from all over the world, and has been of vast help to many SHO owners (including myself!).
With the help of people I've met through the list, (and a little luck), I'll be driving my 1995 SHO well into the next century.
If you're interested in the SHO, or are a SHOwner
yourself, feel free to visit the "SHOtimes FAQ" - the single most comprehensive
authority in dealing with the SHO that is on the 'net.
On November 8, 1997, 16 cars worth of Taurus
SHO owners gathered in the Texas Hill Country just outside Austin.
Most of them were LSSHOC (Lone Star SHO Club) members.
